Representing a client against Harrah’s and Rio Casinos for their malicious prosecution, breach of contract, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and defamation as it relates to our client’s gambling. Both casinos entered into gambling agreements with our client who agreed to deposit $1,000,000.00 and gamble at a member casino in exchange for certain incentives, such as $100,000.00 payment for making a trip, and discounts on amounts lost. In order to avoid monies owed, Harrah’s and Rio filed fraudulent claims with the Nevada District Attorney’s office in order to have Plaintiff wrongfully imprisoned, thus making it more difficult, or impossible, to recover the money owed. The client is seeking punitive damages.
