Representing a decedent’s estate against Eli Lilly & Company for product liability, negligence, fraud and wrongful death associated with Eli Lilly’s design, production and advertisement of Zyprexa.  Zyprexa is a atypical antipsychotic used for the treatment of bipolar disorder and a specific type of schizophrenic disorder. Decedent, a 20 year-old, took Zyprexa for several years prior to his death caused by diabetic ketoacidocis.  Zyprexa has been linked with increased blood glucose levels, hypoglycemia, diabetes and death.  Despite these links, Eli Lilly has continuously denied the link between Zyprexa and diabetes.  Additionally, Eli Lilly has improperly advertised Zyprexa for off-label use.  Decedent’s estate is seeking punitive damages.
