Makarem & Associates attorney Ron Makarem represent a single mother in an upcoming sexual harassment lawsuit against the woman’s former attorney.
It is alleged that the defendant, Ronald J. Nolan, an attorney and principal at the Law Offices of Ronald J. Nolan, located in Valencia, California, has engaged in sexual harassment, sexual assault, and legal malpractice.
According to the lawsuit, a Chino, California plaintiff retained Defendant Nolan and his law firm in 2017 to represent her in connection with legal claims against her former employer, but as he represented her, he allegedly sexually assaulted and harassed her.
In addition, the woman alleges Defendant Nolan failed to inform her of potential claims against her former employer for employment and disability discrimination.
Due to the allegations of sexual assault and legal malpractice, the plaintiff is seeking damages for emotional distress, lost income, and exemplary damages, which are a result of Defendant Nolan’s alleged illegal, discriminatory, and negligent acts.
For his part, Nolan denies all allegations of sexual harassment and assault, as well as legal malpractice. Nolan also denies that his former client suffered any damages in the case arising from his alleged sexual harassment and legal malpractice.
