Biography
Nizam Shaikh joined Makarem & Associates as an associate in 2026. As an Associate Attorney, Nizam focuses on employment cases, wage and hour class actions, and legal malpractice litigation.
Prior to joining Makarem and Associates, Nizam worked as a leveraged finance associate at A&O Shearman where he represented financial institutions, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers in a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions. Nizam received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2024. At UCLA School of Law, Nizam served as an online editor for UCLA Law Review. Before attending law school, Nizam received his B.A. from UCLA.
In his free time Nizam enjoys playing soccer.
